Longing for a small vacation/outing, we scrolled through Instagram and spotted an amazing shot that included very blue water, snow, and what looked like a glacier view from a Vancouver photographer. Quickly we google mapped: Joffre lakes, and made an on-the-spot decision. From where we live it's a short 3 hour by car travel, mostly highway. If you've ever been to Whistler, it's only an hour past it. (Basically Pemberton). It's meant to be a hiking trail, upon our arrival we were told it was very dangerous and slippery. Luckily for us there's only a cold 2 minute walk to the first lake where you can already take gorgeous pictures.
Our packing essentials for the day:
- Charged cameras
- Beanies (like 5!)
- Good shoes
- Water bottles
Same Poncho as my blog profile picture but reversed from Primark
Our Beanies are all from F21 men or h&m. You can never have too many. The colour can quickly change the look you're going for.
My OLD NAVY HALL: so cheap! 1.25$ touch screen grey gloves. Vests, they're super in style and can cost so much. both my black jacket style one and light grey vest cost under $20 each.
We stopped by Whistler on the way there, and back.
Ate at the five dollar warehouse restaurant. There are a couple locations in Vancouver I believe. it's AMAZING.. hard to tell who was working there or just a customer, but great food for that low price. After a long day, we ate dinner, and had our typical bbq flavoured Pizza & wings.
